We enjoyed wearing the beautiful kimonos and taking photos in Koyoto however the process at the rental shop was too crowded, took way to long and we did not know we were going to get up charged for every item along the way from damage insurance to larger size options for the kimono to accessories and even hair styles. Our hair styles were basic and seemed rushed even though we paid extra and there was no makeup offered. Our group was split up by other groups while getting ready and this delayed us even more. I recommend renting a kimono in Koyoto for sure but this place needs to better manage their reservations to make it a more comfortable, affordable and fun experience. I might recommend trying a different shop for this experience.
